Redfox Armory is dedicated in contributing to sustainability and a circular economy. some of the ways we contribute:
By producing a product built to last, we reduce waste by breaking from the norm of “planned obsolescence”.
the simplification of the production of items to use the same dimensions on raw materials on as many different products as possible have reduced our material waste by 95% Our lifetime repair policy keeps our products out of the landfill, if we cannot repair a product under warranty, we recycle the material for other products, donate it for classes, or send the scrap to our local recycling facility. We burn Pennsylvania anthracite coal, which is hot burning and clean with less smoke and ash. our ash and clinker are used as clean fill on company grounds. we also use propane forges as well. Upcycled packaging. We recycle packing materials in our boxes from damaged boxes and fillers that would otherwise be disposed of. Redfox Armory averages up to half a ton of bubble wrap being repurposed and saved from the landfill every year! Green projects. Redfox Armory believes in energy independence and reduction of environmental impact. our long-term goal is to get the shop to run entirely off wind and solar to reduce the load on the grid. we use leftover beeswax to coat our products as a rust preventative, unsuitable for other uses and otherwise would be discarded by local farms. beeswax is also food-safe, biodegradable, and hypoallergenic. water used in washing goods and our quench tank is 100% collected rainwater. Through hard efforts, we are investing in solar tech to get our shop on solar and wind, making us more energy-independent and reducing our impact on the grid.

examples:
A fire poker hook bends or breaks off moving hot coals in a fire pit, this is covered.
if you leave the fire poker in the fire till it gets red hot, or stick it in the ground and corrosion compromises the construction, the warranty is void.
deformation is defined as slight bending, peening, burrs or marring created from use. hammering tent stakes into rocky soil and causing deformation, and burrs on the tip and backside are not covered. a tent stake that breaks or obscenely bends under normal conditions due to a defect in the materials covered.
consumables are defined as items designed to have limited use before they wear out. consumables are still covered for material defects.
an example of what is not covered: using flint strikers till they are too worn to be used or can no longer spark due to corrosion. or shooting arrowheads into hard targets or soil that bends, breaks, or damages the product.
an example of what IS covered: shooting arrowheads at soft foam archery targets and a material defect causes the arrowhead to break at the “shoulder.” a flint striker falls onto concrete and shatters.
